Summer Super Series...
2007 v Isis CC

After a 2-1 victory over Holton in the 2006 Summer Super Series, Cairns Fudge turn their attention this season to larger conquests. Isis CC are a well established Oxfordshire Club who play their home games at the Queens College Ground off the Abingdon Road in Oxford. We have enjoyed many a tussle during our brief existance, none more so than last year's epic 20 over contest at Wheatley, eventually won by Isis off the last couple of balls.
All 3 Super Series games will be played at the Wheatley Park School ground in Wheatley and it promises to be a good contest.
Bob Willis, Sky Sports star Cricket pundit was keen to cast an eye on
on both teams and offer his verdict on the outcome of the series:

Cairns
Fudge
"Hardly
any experience of the big stage and have the potential to shoot
themselves in the foot with some spectacular batting collapses.
They never lack enthusiasm though and they will be extremelly sharp
in the field. If their batting can match up to their bowling and
fielding efforts, they have a chance"
Rating: 7/10
Isis
"A
well established club with experience on their side. Can be described
as the Jedi masters at all forms of the game. They have some very dangerous players that could hurt
Cairns Fudge especially in the batting department. The Wheatley School venue or "Fortress Fudge" as its known world wide, can be an intimidating place and the fans may play a part. All in all though, a formidable package."
Rating: 9/10
Verdict: "I think Isis will take the series 2-1. Possibly 3-0. Cairns
Fudge have their work cut out for them and will start the series
as underdogs. I will hopefully be able to get the night off to be
there for all 3 matches. I will put a quid on the Fudge at Ladbrokes
though just in case they pull it off"
RESULT: CFCC win the series 3 - 0! Brilliant stuff!
